The Rust November 2025 update is almost live, and its going to bring a major shift to progression, quality-of-life systems, and surveillance setups across the game. This month’s patch focuses less on introducing new monuments and more on refining how players move through a wipe, how bases are managed, and how players interact with vehicles, vendors, and the environment. The big naval release is delayed for next month, sadly. But trust me, whether you play casually or run your own Rust server, this update changes a lot.

Major Blueprint Progression Overhaul

Lineup Of All Rust Workbenches

Researching blueprints has historically been one of the biggest pacing factors in Rust. The update significantly reduces research scrap costs, making it easier to unlock weapons, tools, and deployables earlier in the wipe.

Rarity Previous Cost New Cost
Common 20 15
Uncommon 75 30
Rare 125 60
Very Rare 500 120

This is a sweeping progression change, especially for players progressing through Tier 2 and early Tier 3. It removes the “scrap wall” that previously forced players to farm for several hours just to compete.

Blueprints Now Wipe Monthly By Default

This change will be a standard feature from the upcoming wipe, but only forced for Official servers. Community Rust server owners can choose if they want to keep the Blueprints or not, but currently, the switch is a very manual process or will require plugins to achieve. Nothing has been mentioned about adding a convar for enabling or disabling this feature just yet.

Monument & World Tweaks

  • Puzzle reset timings and radiation tuned across several monuments.
  • Power Plant: Main reset 40m → 25m, radiation enabled on the main building.
  • Radtown puzzle reset range shrunk and centered correctly.
  • Abandoned Cabins reset radius reduced 30m → 20m (matches build block zone; no more sleepers dying inside bases).
  • Halloween event disabled with this update.

Box Sorting

Storage Adaptor Placed On A Box

You can now sort storage containers automatically. Sorting options include:

  • Alphabetical
  • Category (weapons, components, etc.)
  • Condition-based sorting
  • Stack-size prioritized sorting
  • Custom presets (snapshot)

This is huge for clans managing dozens of boxes and helps solo players stay organized without plugins.

Other Electrical Changes:

  • Power In slot now exists on every floor of an elevator stack.
  • If any elevator in the stack has power, the whole stack counts as powered.

Vehicle Enhancements

Rust Missile Launcher On A Table
  • Minicopters and Scrap Helicopters now have flare inputs like the attack helicopter that can be triggered by the vehicle driver.
  • Player-thrown flares no longer cause homing missiles to deflect.
  • Horses can now be healed with medical syringes like a normal player. You can heal them whilst running or stationary. Healing them whilst running will offer a temporary stamina boost.
  • Hot Air Balloons (HABs) don’t have flares and can only be targeted if the server ConVar homingMissileTargetsHab is enabled.
  • Improved flare visuals for mini and scrappie; flare status lights added to their dashboards.

Loot & Vendor Changes

  • Semi-Auto Pistol removed from the Water Well vendor
  • Jackhammer price increased at the Water Well vendor
  • Diver Propulsion Vehicle made cheaper and now purchasable at Fishing Villages
  • Blue Keycard removed from Outpost vendor.

Other loot/economy notes

  • Autoturret loot chance reduced from military crates drops
  • M4 Shotgun returns to hackable crates (L96 odds lowered)

Backpack & Cooking Improvements

Rust Mixing Table
  • When gathering resources, items now automatically move to the backpack if your main inventory is full.
  • Cooking and mixing tables now better handle items that have different spoil timers.
  • Food no longer spoils in the Arctic biome, making bases there much more viable.
  • A Mini Fridge is being added that has the same storage space as a small wooden box.

New Rust Camera Codes

Rust Player Boarding The Cargo Ship

This update expands the Rust camera codes roster by adding CCTV networks to the Cargo Ship and Ferry Terminal. These can be viewed on any rust server, from the convenience of your base, using a computer station.

Cargo Ship Codes:

CARGOBRIDGE
CARGODECK
CARGOSTERN
CARGOHOLD1
CARGOHOLD2

Ferry Terminal Codes:

FERRYDOCK
FERRYPARKING
FERRYUTILITIES
FERRYLOGISTICS

Pro tip: Add a mini fridge next to that computer station, stock up with energy drinks, and you have an endless supply to stalk people taking cargo. You are welcome.

Extra QoL & Fixes

  • Drone accessibility indicator when viewing vending machines on the map.
  • Bumped Fish Pie comfort from 25% → 100%.
  • Spawn some vehicles via F1 (useful for testing on the rust staging server).
  • Favorites.cfg extended to also store the 50 most recently played servers.
  • Fixed Steam DLC price currency mismatch in the in-game store.
  • Dev console tab fix: you can now tab between the two last opened tabs again.

How To Control Your Blueprint Wipes With Pine Hosting

Running your Rust server on Pine Hosting means you decide how wipes work on your server.
With the recent changes in how blueprint wipes work, we have made sure to add a New Feature to amplify this new mechanic. You can keep your usual map wipe cadence and choose whether to wipe blueprints or keep them each cycle. No need to mess with server files or plugins to keep them after the new update.
