Setting up an external RCON client for your Rust server is extremely simple with Pine Hosting. This guide covers everything you need to know about how to set up RCON for Rust.
Rust Admin RCON Setup:
- Download the RustAdmin Desktop client here
- Once downloaded extract the ZIP file and run RustAdmin.exe
- Head over to the Configuration tab
- Click on Rcon Type: "WebRcon"
- Enter IP - Can be found in Console tab under Server Info
- Enter Server Port - The number next to IP after the ":"
- Enter Rcon Port -Can be found in Startup tab under "RCON PORT"
- Enter Rcon Password - Can be found in Startup tab under "RCON PASSWORD". You can change this field to your desired password. DO NOT enter an easy password like 12345.
- Next to the dropdown menu that says New Configuration click on Save and input a new name for your configuration
- Find and click "Server" at the top of the page and click Connect
- You are now connected to your server
