Setting up RCON for your Minecraft server is simple with Pine Hosting. This guide walks you through the steps and requirements to set up RCON on your server.

Important Information

  • RCON is a tool that can be used to remotely execute commands to your Minecraft server.
  • RCON requires an empty port in order to set it up. Each Minecraft server we provide comes with 3 ports. If your game port is for example "25505" then the 2 other free ports will be +1 and +2. Example: "25506" and "25507".

Steps:

  1. Login to your game panel here
  2. Select server you want to work on
  3. Head to the Files Tab and locate the "server.properties" file
  4. On the "enable-rcon" field, set it to "true"
  5. Change the "rcon.port" to one of the free ports mentioned above in "Important Information" section
  6. Change the "rcon.password" field to you desired strong password
  7. Click on Save Content when done
  8. Go to Console and Restart your server
  9. Now your server is ready to be used remotely
