How To Install Mods On Your Windrose Server

Installing Lua Mods on your Windrose server is simple with Pine. This guide explains how add Lua mods on your Windrose server with a few simple steps.

Important Information:

In Windrose you can install Pak mods, Lua mods and Blueprint mods. This guide is about Lua mods only. Lua mods require UE4SS to be installed on the server. All types of Mods are required to be installed client-side and server-side. Before installing any mods, read the description of the mod for compatibility and unique instructions to ensure functionality.

Installing Lua Mods On A Windrose Server:

1. Download your desired Windrose mod to your pc which will end in .zip
2. Login to your game panel here
3. Select the server you want to work on
4. Head over to the Console tab and Stop the server
5. Then go to Files and navigate to R5/Binaries/Wind64/ue4ss/Mods
   Note: If theres no Mods folder that means you still need to install UE4SS or it hasn't installed properly.
6. Drag and drop the file you downloaded in the Mods folder
7. Click the 3 dots next to the file you uploaded and then click "Unarchive"
8. Open the mods.txt file.
9. Enable the mod by changing its value to 1, and click Save Content to save the changes.
10. Go to your Console and Restart the server

Installing Lua Mods Locally:

1. Download your desired Windrose mod to your pc
2. Open the Steam library, right-click Windrose, hover Manage, and choose Browse local files
3. Then navigate to: \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Windrose\R5\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods
4. Drag and Unzip the downloaded file into the Mods folder.
   
5. Open the mods.txt file with a text editor like Notepad.
6. Enable the mod by changing its value to 1 and Save the file.
