This guide explains how to make your FiveM server private by hiding it from the public server list. Below you will find step-by-step instructions on editing your server.cfg file to remove your server from the FiveM master list.
Steps:
- Log in to your game panel
- Select your FiveM Server
- Go to the server console and stop the server
- Navigate to the "Files" tab
- Edit the server.cfg file
- Find #sv_master1 "" and uncomment it to be:
sv_master1 "" - Start the server again
Important Notes:
If you cannot find #sv_master1 "" in your server.cfg file, you can add it manually.
Please note that people will still be able to connect using the server IP and port if they know them. To fully restrict access, you will need to add a whitelist script depending on the framework you are using (QBCore, ESX, vRP).
Troubleshooting:
If your server still appears in the public list:
- Make sure there are no extra spaces in the sv_master1 line
- Check that you have commented out or removed any other sv_master2, sv_master3, etc. lines
- Ensure the server was fully stopped before making the change and then restarted
