This guide explains how to connect to your FiveM server using two different methods: through the in-game server list or by connecting directly using the server IP address. Below you will find step-by-step instructions for both methods.
Steps To Connect Using The In-Game Server List:
- Log in to your game panel
- Select your FiveM Server
- Go to the server console and stop the server
- Head up to the "Startup" tab
- Change the "Server Hostname" field to what you want your server to appear as in the FiveM server list
- Start the server again and you will find it there
Steps To Connect Using The Server IP:
- Open the FiveM Client
- Press the F8 key on your keyboard
- Type the following in the game console and press enter:
"connect <server ip:port>"
For example: connect 157.98.10.95:3153 - You will connect to the server
Important Notes:
Your server may take a few minutes to appear in the public server list after starting. You can find your server's IP address and port in the "Console" tab of your game panel. Make sure your server is set to "Public" in the settings if you want it to appear in the server list.
Troubleshooting:
If you cannot connect to your FiveM server:
- Make sure the server is running in your game panel
- Double-check that you are using the correct IP address and port
- Try connecting using the direct IP method instead of the server list
