This guide will show you how to change or reset your Satisfactory server's administrative password. You can update the password from the server settings or reset it if you have forgotten it.
Changing The Admin Password:
- Launch Satisfactory and navigate to the Server Manager
- Select your server, click Server Settings, and Authenticate to your server
- Press Change Password next to Admin Password
- Enter your desired password twice to confirm it and click Confirm
NOTE: This method preserves all server settings. Use the reset method only if you have forgotten your admin password.
Resetting Your Admin Password:
- Login into game panel here
- Select server you want to work on
- Stop your server from the Control Panel
- Navigate to Files in the panel
- Go to the folder: /.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames and delete the file named ServerSettings.<port>.sav
- Start your server
- Claim your server and you will be able to set a new admin password during this process
- Navigate to Manage Saves, select your most recent save, and press Load Game
- Press Status to monitor when the world finishes loading, then click Join Game to join your world
NOTE: Using the reset method will reset all server settings, but your server save will remain intact if these steps are followed correctly.
