Setting up a backup for your Minecraft server is a straightforward process with Pine Hosting. This guide walks you through making backups of your server.

Steps:

  1. Login to your game panel here
  2. Select the server you want to work on
  3. Head over to your Backups Tab
  4. On the top right, click on "Create Backup"
  5. Fill in the backup name
  6. (Optional) Add any files you wish to include or exclude from the backup. Warning: Better to leave it empty unless you know what you are doing.
  7. (Optional) Enable Database Backups if you have any on the server
  8. (Optional) Lock the backup to prevent it from being deleted until explicitly unlocked.
  9. Click on Start Backup on the bottom right
  10. Once the backup is created, you can restore it by clicking on the 3 dots on the right side of the backup and then click ''Restore''. (Make sure your server is offline before restoring)
  11. If you have previously excluded any files from the backup, DO NOT check the ''Delete all files before restoring backup'' unless you have previously done a full backup of the server on step 4
  12. Click Restore and wait or the server installer to fetch the files for you
  13. Restart your server from Console Tab

Example On How To Exclude Files On Backups:

*
!server
!oxide
!carbon
!HarmonyMods
!HarmonyMods_Data
/oxide/logs

This translates to : Ignore all files except server, oxide, carbon, HarmonyMods, HarmonyMods_Data, and ignore the logs folder inside the oxide folder.
