Enabling teleportation on your Minecraft server is simple with Pine Hosting. This guide walks you through the steps to enable teleport on your server.
Important Information:
There are two ways to teleport in-game. The most common one is via in-game commands. The second option is Teleportation mods like Waystones which allow players to travel back and forth from 2 location points or more and EssenialsX that will allow players to send teleport requests to other players. If you are planning on making a public server for friends or a big community, and you want players to be able to teleport, plugins are always recommended instead of in-game commands that require a player to be an Operator in order to use.
Teleport via In-game commands:
- Make sure you are an Operator on your Minecraft server by following this tutorial
- Join your Minecraft server like explained in this tutorial
- Open your chat and use one of the following commands to teleport to your desired location:
Command | Use |
/tp [x] [y] [z] | Teleports you to the specified X, Y, Z coordinates you enter |
/tp [x] ~ [z] | Teleports you to the specified X Z coordinates, while keeping your exact current Y position |
/tp [player1] [player2] | Teleports one player to another players exact location |
/tp [player] [x] [y] [z] | Teleports a player to the specified X, Y, Z coordinates. |
