Transferring your single-player world to your Minecraft server is a straightforward process with Pine Hosting. This guide walks you through uploading your single player world to your Pine server.
Locate Your Save Folder:
- Press the keys Windows + R, type "%AppData%\.minecraft\saves", and hit Enter
- Find the world you want to transfer and note its folder name (this is the same as the map name)
- Compress the world folder into a .zip file
Upload The World To Your Server:
- Connect to your server via FTP/SFTP like explained here
- Upload the .zip file to the server
- In the file manage page, right-click the uploaded .zip file and select Unarchive
- (Optional) Delete the .zip file from both your local and server storage after extraction
- Ensure the world name has no spaces or special characters. EXAMPLE - Original : Example's World, Renamed: Examples_World
Set The World In Server Properties:
- Open the "server.properties" file
- Find the line that mentions "level-name=world"
- Change "world" to match your uploaded world's folder name. Renamed example: "level-name=Examples_World"
- Click on Save Content when done
- Restart the server and your single-player world should be now loaded
