Changing Java Versions on your Minecraft server is very straightforward with Pine Hosting. This guide covers how change your Java version through your Startup tab.

Steps:

  1. Login to your game panel here
  2. Select the server you want to work on
  3. Make sure your server is Offline
  4. Head over to your Startup Tab
  5. Click the dropdown menu and choose the version you want
  6. Head over to your Console and Start your server


Note: 

Make sure to check you have the correct Java version required for the game version your server is on otherwise it wont start.
Here's a quick reference for which versions of Minecraft use which Java versions:

Java 8 - Versions 1.12.2 and below.
Java 11 - Versions 1.13 - 1.17.1.
Java 17 - Versions 1.18 and above.
Java 21 - Versions 1.20.5 and above.
