This guide explains how to set a custom map on your ark server by configuring map settings in the GameUserSettings.ini file and updating your server’s startup options.

How to set a custom map:

  1. Login to your game panel here
  2. Select the server you want to work on
  3. Navigate to "Files" tab
  4. Navigate to "ShooterGames/Saved/Config/LinuxServer" and open "GameUserSettings.ini"
  5. Under "ServerSettings" part set "ActiveMapMods=ID" (ID is Steam Workshop ID of a map you wish) and click "Save"
  6. Navigate to "Startup" tab and under "SERVER MAP" set your custom map name
  7. Start the server
