Joining your ark server is straightforward for both Steam and Epic Games users. This guide covers the steps to connect to your server using either platform’s client.
Steam users:
- Login to your game panel here
- Select the server you want to work on
- In the top right corner, you will find the IP of the server (The IP listed there would be required for users on Epic, while the port needed for Steam is located in the "Startup" tab under "QUERY PORT")
- Open Steam and click View -> Game Servers -> Favorites
- Add your server IP with the query port
- Open Ark and click "Join ARK"
- Under filter options change to "Favorites" and join your server
Epic games users:
- Login to your game panel here
- Select the server you want to work on
- In the top right corner, you will find the IP of the server and the port needed
- Open Ark and select the "HOST/LOCAL" option
- Click "Play Single Player" (You do not need to edit any settings just create single player game)
- When you load in, press "TAB" on your keyboard to open the game console
- Type open (serverip):port (example: open 89.213.214.15:7777)
