Changing the timescale or tick rate of your Rust server is extremely simple with Pine Hosting. This guide explains how to change how fast your server's time progresses.

Important Information:

  1. It is NOT advised to change your servers time progression as server events and respawns may break or bug out.
  2. Timescale doesn't only change how fast daytime goes by, it literally makes everything faster/slower. You can have bears zooming to attack you and scientists too
  3. Make sure you remember the default value (1) to revert everything to vanilla if needed.

How To Change Time Scale:

  1. Login to your game panel here
  2. Select the server you want to work on
  3. Head over to your Console
  4. In the command line type time.timescale followed by a value and hit Enter. Example "time.timescale 2" this will make your server go twice as fast
  5. Then type "writecfg" in the command line to save your changes
