Using debugcamera on your Rust server is extremely simple. This guide covers how to enable debugcamera mode and all controls for it.
Steps:
- Make yourself admin like explained here
- Connect to your server like explained here
- When you have spawned press the F1 key to open your ingame console
- Type "debugcamera" and press Enter. Repeat step 3 and 4 to toggle debug mode off.
Camera Movement Controls:
The controls for the debug camera are fairly straightforward and mostly mimic existing movement keys.
| Keys | Function |
| W A S D | Position the camera |
| MOUSE | Adjust the the looking point of your camera |
| Q | Raise camera height |
| E | Lower camera height |
| SPACE | Slows down the move speed of the camera by half when held down |
| SHIFT | Speeds up the move speed of the camera by double when held down |
| RIGHT ARROW | Roll/rotate camera right or clockwise |
| LEFT ARROW | Roll/rotate camera left or anti-clockwise |
| CTRL+MOUSE LEFT/MOUSE RIGHT | Adjust roll/rotation of camera on the fly |
| UP ARROW/DOWN ARROW | Adjust looking angle (aim up or down) |
| R | Reset camera to its default state |
| Z or + | Zoom in |
| C or - | Zoom out |
| RIGHT MOUSE+MOUSE UP/MOUSE DOWN | Adjust zoom |
